We appreciate your application to host an intern for the AAPC Foundation’s Summer Internship Program!

Our program pairs talented college students with active AAPC Member firms for full-time, paid, 9-week internships (40 hours/week) each summer. Interns gain hands-on experience, mentorship, and professional development in political consulting, public affairs, and communications.

Program Highlights:

• National Scope, Diverse Roles: Interns and host firms span the country and industry segments—from campaign strategy to digital communications—providing a dynamic, multi-perspective learning experience.
• Mentorship and Experiential Learning: Each intern is paired with a firm mentor to gain practical guidance while contributing to meaningful projects aligned with the firm’s expertise.
• Weekly Professional Development: Foundation-led programming complements the placement and strengthens interns’ professional skills.
• Inclusive Student Cohort: The program is open to undergraduate and graduate students, ensuring a range of perspectives and ideas in each intern cohort.

Host Firm Commitment:

• Provide a full-time, hands-on internship for 9 weeks.
• Assign a mentor to guide the intern’s professional development.
• Engage interns in meaningful projects that reflect the firm’s work.
• Collaborate with the Foundation on weekly programming and check-ins.
