The AAPC Foundation’s Lake / DiVall Scholarship provides women that are rising juniors and graduate students interested in entering the field of politics an opportunity to gain professional work experience with AAPC member firms that are leaders in the fields of political consulting and public affairs. The 2025 paid Lake / DiVall Scholarship internship program can be held virtually or in-person during a semester or summer. 2025 Summer interns can work part-time or full-time, no more than 40 hours per week. If you are interested in hosting an intern, please complete the following application by Friday, November 22nd for the summer internship.
Once the host firms are selected, the AAPC Foundation will promote the internship opportunities nationally and screen candidates. Host firms will be invited to interview candidates by phone/video conference before placements are finalized. All interns will be placed Friday, March 21st. Host firms will be required to sign a Host Agreement with the AAPC Foundation prior to placements. Funding is provided by the Lake / DiVall Scholarship through the AAPC Foundation, a 501(c)(3), non-profit organization, founded in 2006 to support the American system of free elections, protect political free speech and provide educational opportunities to students interested in the field.
